OMBRE POWDER BROWS

What Are Ombre Powder Brows?

All semi-permanent makeup procedures imply injecting pigments of natural origin between the upper and the middle layer of the skin, and the same goes for powder ombre brows.

The pigment is inserted using a dotting technique called pixelization, giving a 3D, fluffy look to the eyebrows.

The powder ombre brow effect is easily recognized by the color gradation that starts at the beginning of the brow arch – known as the head of the brow – in the center of the forehead and gets gradually darker towards the tail. This creates an illusion of fading.

Whether the client is looking for a light soft shading or show-stopping bold brows, it can be customized according to the client's desire."

What Should I Know About Ombre Powder Brows Aftercare?

If you want to make the most out of this procedure, you need to know some things about the powder ombre brows aftercare process:

Your artist will probably give you an ointment to use on your brow area. Make sure to apply the ointment 3 times a day, or as often as your artist advises, and always use clean fingers or a cotton swab, especially in the first 3 days after the procedure.

Never touch the treated area with your fingers unless they are completely clean. There might be bacteria that you don’t want to get on your eyebrow area.

Always gently cleanse the treated area with mild antibacterial soap – never scrub as it will affect your final result. Rinse with water and gently pat the area until it’s dry.

Always apply a light coat of ointment on the area before a shower, and continue with this until the area is completely healed. Try to avoid getting your eyebrows wet.

Do not scratch, rub, pick or peel the healing skin. Allow it to flake off on its own. Once you complete the peeling phase, you may proceed with your regular activities."

NANO HAIRSTROKES BROW

What Are Nano Hair strokes Brows?

Nano brows are a cosmetic eyebrow tattoo that gives the brows volume and definition by adding fine hair strokes between the natural hairs.

It’s done with a PMU machine that implements PMU pigments into the dermis layer of the skin, deep enough to ensure it lasts a couple of years.

The pigments are inserted in thin strokes that resemble the brow hairs, so the final look is very natural – the strokes are indistinguishable from the hairs.

Of course, the technique can recreate brow arches from scratch for clients who have very little to no brows due to certain conditions.

The results stay visible for 1.5 to 2.5 years, at which point they’ll fade away if left untouched.

Who Is a Candidate for Nano Brows?

Anyone who wants a natural-looking enhancement for their brows! That said, there are some restrictions.

Nano brows work best on dry to normal skin, but they can work on oily skin, too.

Unlike microblading, which isn’t recommended for clients with oily skin and large pores due to strokes blurring, strokes created with a machine are more resilient to pigment migrations.

So you can get nano brows regardless of skin type, but be aware that pigments tend to fade faster from oilier skin.

Apart from that, there are certain contraindications, just like with any eyebrow tattoo."

LIP BLUSHING TATTOO

Can lip blushing look natural?

Yep, lip blushing can make your lips look a little bigger. No, lip blushing can't add any real volume, but it can make your natural lips look more defined, especially around the Cupid's bow, which will give you the illusion of more depth and fullness."

Can I Get a Lip Tattoo If I Have Lip Fillers?

Yes, PMU lips can be combined with lip fillers, but it’s better to get the lip tattoo first, as it’ll last longer than fillers. But if you already got fillers, wait a while before booking your PMU lips appointment – it takes at least 6 weeks for the fillers to settle.

You should be aware, though, that there’s a small chance of your fillers migrating due to the trauma of tattooing."

Who Isn’t a Good Candidate for a Permanent Lipstick Treatment?

Getting PMU lips is not safe for you if you:

Are under 18

Are pregnant or nursing

Are undergoing chemotherapy

Have hemophilia

Have major heart problems or a pacemaker

Have had an organ transplant

Have uncontrolled high blood pressure

Have diabetes (consult your doctor, it may be possible)

Have psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, or another skin condition in the area

Have an auto-immune disease (consult your doctor, it may be possible)

Have anemia (pigment may not be retained properly)

Have a history of keloid scarring or hypertrophic scarring

Have a history of cold sores

Take blood-thinning medication

Take Accutane or steroids"

What Does Lip Tattoo Aftercare Entail?

Whichever you’re prescribed, avoid the following for 10 days:

Extreme exercise, swimming in pools or the ocean, saunas and steam baths – anything that causes excessive sweating and getting the treated area soaking wet

Tanning in the sun or a sunbed

Makeup in the area

Touching the area

Spicy food

Basically, you have to keep your lips dry – no getting them wet, no products of any kind. You just let them heal on their own.

Wet Healing

This is the basic aftercare routine that can be adapted slightly to suit the needs of your lips.

Wet healing implies blotting away the lymph from the treated area as frequently as your artist prescribes for 3-5 days after the procedure, and keeping the lips moisturized with a special aftercare ointment that aids healing until the peeling ends.

Sticking to the schedule may be a bit annoying, but it’ll give more even results and better retention.

Permanent Eyeliner

What Is Permanent Eyeliner?

Eyeliner tattoo is an advanced permanent makeup procedure that recreates the look of wearing eyeliner.

Using an electric device specially designed for cosmetic tattooing, the artist inserts semi-permanent pigments of natural origins into the skin of your eyelids, thus ‘permanently’ drawing on your eyeliner in the shape you want.

The whole procedure is generally considered to be non-invasive since it involves no actual downtime and you can carry on with your life right after it, but it does entail a few weeks of healing, as your skin needs to recover from the micro-trauma."

What Can I Expect After the Eyeliner Tattoo

Don’t get your eyeliner tattoo wet for the next 7-10 days. This does not mean you shouldn’t clean the area, only that you should protect the area during showers, and avoid swimming, saunas, steam baths, and activities that cause excessive sweating.

Don’t use make-up on or near the area for 7-10 days, until your skin is completely healed. You’ll need to remove the makeup, and harsh cleansers and rubbing can affect pigment retention.

Don’t touch, rub or pick any of the scabs or dry skin that you might see on your eyelids. Everyone’s skin is different, so the amount of scabbing varies.

Don’t sleep on your face.

Don’t get any facials, peels, Botox, or fillers for at least 4 weeks.

There is no actual downtime after the treatment, so you can carry on with your day, but don’t be surprised if you experience some swelling and redness."
